Short & Sweet Wedding Dresses

I admit it... I have a serious thing for short wedding dresses. After a quick look around my website you'll see where my obsessions lie: Short and fluffy. I just LOVE it. And for some brides a short dress is exactly the right choice.
Whether you are considering going short for your ceremony, reception or rehearsal dinner, wearing a short dress is a great opportunity to show off your personality.

Add a splash of color with a petticoat. A petticoat under your short dress doesn't have to be excessively full or even visible when you're standing. But you'll love the pictures your photographer will take of the colored fluff when you finally get a chance to sit down.
Tip: If you opt for a petticoat that is darker in color than your dress you will want to make sure there is sufficient lining so the color doesn't show through the skirt.
Show off your legs and crazy-cute heels! This is an obvious one, but I had to add it. A bride spends so much time and money picking out the perfect shoe for her wedding day, and a short dress gives her the opportunity to show them off.

Punctuate your hairdo and jewelry with a birdcage or blusher veil. A long veil is beautiful but expected. Walk down the aisle in a short dress with a well-placed birdcage... they won't stop staring. (Veil shown here by Florentes, Etsy.com)
